About Project 40
Project 40 is an on-line build book that documents the process of “restoring” and
street-rodding the 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe in the photo above. Restoration work documented
includes: Disassembly and stripping, removing the body from the old chassis,
mounting the body on a new chassis, replacing the firewall, rocker panels, floors and much,
much more.
Site Organization and Navigation
The menu on the left contains the major sections in Project 40. Clicking on the plus sign
next to each section will display a list of topics. To navigate within a topic, use the next
and previous links at the top of each page.
